I was driven out by bullying and retaliation from management in response to an unrelated HR complaint. When I complained to HR and upper management about this, the behavior worsened. My duties were taken away. Management has explained that yelling will happen and we should leave if we don't like it. What it looked like to me: only the women on the team get yelled at and targeted in succession for bullying. The men get promoted, regardless of tenure or performance. They can literally sit there and take 1 call and hour and management will leave them alone. If I take more than 2 minutes between calls, I get yelled at. Toward the end, management would send calls through while I was on a call just to mess with me and get me out the door.
Turnover, low staffing, and no morale make this department a misery. Everyone was recently interviewed for a promotion except the black women in the department, who have some of the consistently strongest numbers. I was losing sleep and having panic attacks and no one at the company was doing a thing to stop the bullying, retaliation and harassment, so I left.
