Pros

Anything you need to succeed at your job they'll provide. Most the time, direct management is understanding with personal matters. Nice people mostly. Quarterly parties. Beautiful properties. Decent benefits. Free certification opportunities

Cons

They will promise you advancement and never follow through. Their policy on call outs and tardiness is pretty extreme ie. You call out sick and provide doctor's note you still get written up which in turn disqualifies you for 90 days for promotion. CEO can't get out of his own way. Terrible food but it's free. No Christmas bonus. Unfair compensation ie 2 or more people will be paid the same wage but one is responsible for far more than the others, but because of title, is paid the same.

Pros

Serving as General Manager at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook has been an incredibly fulfilling chapter in my career. Over the past year, I’ve experienced a remarkable balance between professional growth and personal well-being. I’m proud to lead a team that’s not only talented but genuinely collaborative and inspiring. The unwavering support from our corporate leadership has empowered us to elevate the guest experience and strengthen our culture. It’s been a journey defined by purpose, passion, and progress.

Cons

Some modification to benefits on the medical side would be good. Otherwise very happy.

Pros

Similarly very diverse seemingly wonderful culture

Cons

I was hired at almost 2 dollars less than the people that were hired a week before and a week after me. Evem with 5 plus years in hospitality. Within 3 days I was degraded in front of a guest. So bad that they wrote about their experience. Nothing was done. After a meeting with H. R the person who actually did the degradation try to retaliate against me. And said that I threatened and made them feel unsafe.. you can try to pull the anger man card. So after checking cameras and doing their investigation, I'm still employed. I still work with this person. I don't feel safe because this person has lied on my name. Once and I'm sure we'll do it again. How is this allowed to happen with HR? And all the established rules and regulations
