Pros
While the company provides bi-weekly pay, offers a decent 401k plan, and PTO, its benefits package is basic compared to similar-sized competitors. However, recognizing this allows for future improvement and aligning with industry standards. There's a lot of room to grow. For a company this size, it's kind of odd that the benefits offered are so basic.
Cons
At Kemper, there are challenges with management, particularly within middle management roles. Unfortunately, there have been instances where employee treatment has fallen short of expectations, with bullying and harassment present in the company culture. Additionally, it's not uncommon to encounter individuals in positions lacking the required skills. There are no reasons to believe the organization will be addressing these issues for fostering a positive work environment and ensuring employee well-being. I don't see any signs or policies that suggest management wants to build a culture of respect and professionalism at all levels.
