I would not recommend this workplace. I was placed under pressure by management t carry out an instruction that I later discovered was not legally permitted. When I raised concerns, there was no support provided. Staff well being is not a priority and communication from management was misleading. Overall, the environment felt unsafe and untrustworthy

Team leaders and other frontline workers are so kind and helpful. This was my first support work role and I would not of lasted if it wasn’t for them.

Management don’t give a sh@t about the workers or clients, I saw unregistered restrictive practices, people get fired for voicing unethical practices, and staff get straight out blamed/flamed in the public email groups for client’s behaviours. Staff are not trained enough to deal with the massive behaviours present at SCSS or “kanda” they have a massive reputation for being the worst company in cairns so be very careful.
