Pros
KID Museum has a great set of people working hard to have an impact on the students and families in Montgomery County and beyond. You'll get to learn a lot, try a lot, and be surrounded by fun, creative individuals.
Cons
Inconsistent leadership, mismanagement, minimal (if any) growth opportunities, broken promises, poor internal communication, and a never ending atmosphere of "we have to do more." There was never a moment in my tenure in the organization where we felt successful for more than a few hours before we had to jump to the next thing. Employees are overworked, underpaid, and there is no accountability with senior leadership from the board of directors, who are barely involved to begin with. If you need to start somewhere, it's fine, but don't let it suck you into the chaos.
