Pros

Pay is above-average considering the size of the company (< 20). Open to new ideas and technology innovations Staff members were young, hip, and smart

Cons

Micro-managing runs rampant in such a small space. Open and shared space with another company resulting in little to no privacy and varying noise levels. Senior management speaks poorly of its staff members Senior management carries itself with an aire of arrogance that is both troubling and conducive to lower morale

I appreciate the feedback and am glad you enjoyed the pace and how as a small firm we take care of employees and provide great technology. Working in an open office has its challenges - we have since added private rooms so that team members can have productive conversations with media and staff in a private setting as well.

Pros

Owner truly invests in employee professional growth, even hiring outside consultants to help us succeed. They gave me the flexibility to work in various roles and accounts that I found interesting. Fantastic benefits for full-time employees, including a 100% match on 401k. Fun team-building activities and events. 9th floor corner office in Little Italy with beautiful views. Although my full-time contract was not renewed due to various circumstances, owner went out of his way to help me find new employment opportunities. All of these things are quite rare to find in a job these days.

Cons

PR 101: Know how to pivot throughout your day. If you can't, the industry in general is not for you.
