Pros
Jet2 is a great place to work. Everyone is very friendly which is good as we work from home, so even when its a bit lonely at home, there's always someone to talk to between calls from your team. You get a lot of annual leave which is nice, especially for part timers, you still get enough. The pay is also very good. Customers are lovely, and even if you have a difficult customer- there's always support there to assist you. The commission is nice too, and there are always incentives which is nice during the quieter times.
Cons
It would be nice to have bank holidays off, the only day we get outside of annual leave is Christmas day, so it would be nice to have bank holidays off to spend with friends and family, and it is incredibly hard to get annual leave on bank holidays. Which leads to another issue I have faced which is getting Annual leave, it is very competitive. We also cannot receive our TOIL whenever we want, we have to wait for when TOIL is open- which again is incredibly hard to get, you have to always keep an eye to see if its available to book, and this is very hard especially when you are on calls. You have to be available for calls even a second before closing (8:30pm), which means if you get a call you could be stuck on that call for an extra 30 mins, and compete to get that time back. During winter when its a lot quieter, TOIL is often available to book. It would also be nice to have more career opportunities, so we can broaden our knowledge of the company and have more experience in other areas of the company, I also think before training we should be offered to choose our annual leave as its so difficult to get. Before starting the job, someone from jet2 called to ask if I needed any annual leave, and I did mention taking Eid off, but when it came to it, there was no availability left so I had to work on Eid, and Eid wasn't acknowledged either- we normally have acknowledgments for other celebrations (like diwali and Halloween), but we didnt get that, im guessing because I was in training, i'm not sure. We were also told there would be no targets, but there are! And we are constantly pressured to meet those targets along with the pressures of taking those calls. The systems are also very outdated and difficult to use.
