If you’re proactive and self-driven, you can take ownership of your work—from proposing solutions to choosing technologies and designing implementation strategies. It can be a good place to sharpen your technical skills—if you don’t rely on the company to recognize or reward your efforts. Unfortunately, leadership has little to no understanding of technology and does not know how to evaluate technical performance. So even if you grow as a professional, don't expect that to be reflected in your compensation or career advancement.

I worked at JBS USA Inc. for about 5 years as an engineer, the overall experience was extremely disappointing—particularly due to poor leadership and a toxic organizational culture. The management is deeply dysfunctional. Decisions are made based on favoritism rather than performance. People are let go or sidelined simply because someone at the top dislikes them. The leadership lacks emotional maturity and has no real strategic vision for building a sustainable, healthy company. Employees are not valued as professionals, and merit-based evaluation is virtually non-existent. If you're on a work visa, be especially careful. There’s a strong sense that the company believes it "owns" sponsored employees. They assume that simply providing a visa should make you accept poor treatment, unclear job roles, and the absence of any structured feedback or compensation system. It feels like they expect people to endure, no matter how toxic the environment, just because they are in the U.S.
