Pros

Sales been on an upswing for last year and continues to improve Stronger leadership last couple years than my first year Great people, smart-collaborative Company cares about your career You work hard but company fair on flexibility, remote etc Company hiring stronger people and we're a stronger team for it Plan on staying a while

Cons

There's still a few disgruntled people from the old days. Suspect some of the negative I've seen is people upset the company hires more senior these days. The disgruntled ones can be a bummer to the majority of employees that are all headed in the right direction While majority of leadership team is strong there's a few that need to be addressed but by and large decent leadership team Resource challenged at times -not uncommon for company this size

Pros

I loved working at Janrain. Fantastic company culture, that flows from the CEO on down. Great people, who made it fun to come into work every day. Yes, there are free snacks, and beer on tap, and awesome monthly happy hours - but it's more about how people work together to get the job done, and help each other out. It's a vibrant community of smart people pulling together to achieve common goals. And over the past year it's been obvious that Janrain is on a roll, with a solid business strategy, a market-leading product, and a relentless focus on delivering seamless and secure customer identity and access management for some of the biggest brands in the world. The company is getting serious recognition from analysts, winning more and more new logos, and growing revenue with existing customers in a big way. The future looks bright - and the recently announced acquisition by Akamai is going to make it even brighter.

Cons

You need to be prepared to work hard at Janrain. Resources are limited and a lot of gaps are filled by people who tackle problems that are outside their specific job requirements. And ... Janrain has just been acquired by Akamai. Some of the management is changing, and Janrain is now going to be part of a much bigger company. The people at Akamai are smart - and at least initially, appear to be eager to retain Janrain's culture and bolster its resources - but if you're thinking about joining Janrain now, realize that you are joining Akamai too, and check them out on Glassdoor to see if that's a good fit for you.
