Pros
People on the team are smart, and you will definitely pick up a lot from working here. Also, the view out of the back is really nice.
Cons
Really low pay and weird policies (strict no shoes rule, strange Christmas ritual of gifting home-made items to an imaginary cat). There were rats in the building for about four out of the six months I was there and we had to clean our desks with bleach daily because the rats would leave droppings behind (everyone knew about the rats, it just took months for anyone to take it seriously and do anything about it). Really weird rules on who was or wasn't allowed to work from home, plus productivity is definitely affected when both the critical team leads work from home and tend to be slow in responding to messages. It also made communication difficult -- we'd get conflicting directions from different people because no one was ever on the same page. CEO might be a little insane -- she is extremely moody and ranges from saccharine sweetness to unhealthy rage (you could frequently hear her yelling and sometimes throwing things around in her office... not healthy or normal). I was also once asked to falsify time sheets so a client would be billed less, which seemed really unethical to me. Career opportunities are virtually nonexistent. Overall, I would strongly recommend against working here.
