Pros
Co-workers were mostly pretty good people
Cons
You cannot take more than one week's worth of vacation at a time (forget about taking 2 weeks off together). They will also dictate to you as to what days of the week are appropriate to book off (outside of numerous blackout periods in the year). Unpaid sick days for salaried managers. It is expected that you "kiss the ring" every time the insecure district manager visits the store. Promotions happen for male underperformers. They do not offer yearly wages increases - even to match the rate of inflation. They will continue with the status quo until you ask for a raise and need to plead your case. The company is too cheap to hired skilled and certified contractors to perform work within existing or new renos - this is what store managers are expected to do. Many tasks are assigned weekly that are repetitive, unproductive and time-consuming - confirming that the company does not trust anyone to perform their roles. Archaic POS and inventory management systems ( 7+ step process to print shelf labels!?). Upper management logs into store cameras to see what staff are doing. Sooo many red flags with this company - I question the sanity of employees who have chosen to stay longer than 2 years.
