Pros
You will meet some of the best people at JS Casting. It was always a fun and relaxed work environment and I cannot sing Jen Sullivan's praises enough. She always stops in to say hi when she's in the office (and will hopefully show you pictures of her adorable son!) and orders lunch for the office when it's someone's birthday. It might seem like a little thing, but it was nice to have a boss so personable and approachable! The hours are good and the shows are fun to work on.
Cons
Sometimes it can feel a little clique-y in the office. There's a high turnover for assistants, so the assistants and associates who've been there longer tend to stick together and leave new people out unless you make a push. It's also contract work, so always be looking for another job. You could be out of work at any moment when there are no more shows. Because of this it takes a while to get more responsibilities/ get promoted.
