Pros
Some very talented people working here, but that number has decreased as things have become more hectic in the studio. As a first job out of school, it can be a good place to gain experience. Decent snacks and monthly social events. Location allows for a reverse commute from the city or a short commute if you're in the east bay. Largish clients, but mainly tech company B2B work.
Cons
For an agency that promotes itself as a small, progressive studio, it can be rigid and is very concerned with hierarchy and titles. Big egos often hang up workflow unnecessarily and make things overly complicated. Communication is terrible across the entire studio and there is zero consideration about making sure everyone is informed of changes. Lack of "team effort" mentality. Timelines for projects are unrealistic leading to regular weekend work, long nights, and lots of employee turnover.
