We’re disappointed to read your review, as many of the claims made are not reflective of the broader experience at IVS. That said, we appreciate honest feedback and would welcome the opportunity to better understand your experience, share context, and hopefully offer a more balanced perspective. IVS continues to maintain single-digit turnover, with many long-tenured team members (15 years), team members that return (boomerang), and a facility that is equipped with a range of amenities and perks that reflect our commitment to employees. Our CEO is deeply committed to this company, its people, and its long-term success. While no organization is perfect, these characterizations on leadership and management are unjustified and overlooks the respectful, supportive, positive workplace that is IVS. We understand that not every company is the right fit for everyone and support employees who move on to new opportunities. We’re sorry to hear you’ve had difficulty in your transition. We wish you the best in finding a role and environment that aligns better with your expectations.

Pros

- Even if you don't have a huge amount of experience, there's still a chance you'll get hired because many managers look for a good attitude over a perfect resume - Collaborative environment - Visibility given to non-scientists in the form of Journal Club and Breakfast and Learn - They've never had a mass layoff, which is saying something in today's climate - The company is small enough that Jeff Miller probably knows your name - Free snacks in the break room, and unlimited fizzy water because they splurged on a Bevi - If you work here, particularly in R&D, you're getting paid to learn a lot of cool new stuff - Pay was pretty decent

Cons

- They've never had a mass layoff because the CFO is the most fiscally conservative person on the planet, which means it can be VERY difficult to get promoted sometimes. In the choice between 'I get more money per year but twenty people lose their jobs' and 'everyone stays put but the promotion I've been working towards for two years gets denied,' I'm obviously going to pick the second one, but it still sucks. This is in no way a dig on their CFO - she's lovely and I do not envy her position - it just is what it is. - Not as many wellness incentives as some of the bigger companies - Some managers can be a little difficult, but it's not like this is unique to Invivoscribe - Hybrid work isn't really a thing anymore, which is kind of a bummer
