Pros

Inventive Group is focused on bringing engineering excellence to their clients, students, and surrounding communities. They focus on doing good by their people and the people that they interact with along the way. Their core mission is to put veterans to work, address the imbalance around women in tech, make technical teams more diverse, and introduce underprivileged communities to new opportunities in technology. Inventive Group is dedicated to a friendly and transparent work environment to foster a more welcoming place for all to work. Their mantra of "Real Experts, Experience the Difference" isn't just a tagline. They hire for culture fit above all else and have created an environment that you can be really excited to be a part of. Think "family", not "job”.

Cons

Inventive Group is a young but stable company that is growing fast. As such, there are a lot of opportunities to wear many hats. It is a consulting company which means a fair amount of client interaction is required. They also run a coding bootcamp which provides the opportunity to practice your teaching skills. They also work with a bunch of startups and charities which cuts across many sectors of business. All of these possibilities for skill expansion and industry exposure aren't exactly everybody's cup of tea. If you are looking for a company where you can show up and silently contribute in the background - it is likely that Inventive Group isn't currently the place for you.

Pros

Positive work environment with a great team of people. Fun but productive culture with a lot of direct collaboration.

Cons

Very little. The team is very capable, competent, and eager to make things happen. Haven't experienced any drama, toxic people, or unfairness.

Pros

Easy to get hired and somewhat competitive pay

Cons

The most untrustworthy leadership I've ever encountered. These reviews you read about them hiring contract developers and promising a full time gig only to cut them loose early are true. It's how they keep the overhead to a minimum. The surprise calls with the COO laying people off with no notice or severance are true. They shove culture down your throat and then go against everything they preach. Go check out the latest work they highlight on the site, it's all old projects and Texas A&M are the only ones keeping the lights on. Bad company, worse management.
