Pros
Supportive and mission-driven culture – People genuinely care about their work and each other. Collaboration across teams is encouraged and appreciated. Leadership is accessible – There’s a real effort from the top down to listen, communicate openly, and align on company goals. Focus on employee development – I’ve seen steady investment in training programs, onboarding, and upskilling. We’re not perfect yet, but we’re moving in the right direction. Opportunities to grow and make an impact – Being a mid-sized company, there’s plenty of room to take initiative, influence change, and help shape the employee experience. TA & L&D are taken seriously – Hiring thoughtfully and developing our people is a priority, not an afterthought, which is refreshing.
Cons
Still building structure in some areas – As with any growing company, not all systems and processes are mature yet. Things can feel a bit scrappy at times. Cross-functional alignment is a work in progress – Communication between some departments could be more consistent and intentional. Limited resources – Like many companies in growth mode, we’re stretching in some areas, which can sometimes mean wearing multiple hats.
