A sinking ship. You'd be mad to jump on board. - Client Manager Interbrand Employee Review

Pros

Broadly a friendly environment, pockets of excellent people, some good processes. Excellent awareness: probably the best known brand consultancy in the world.

Cons

The most scary thing about Interbrand is that it doesn't practise what it preaches. No real strategy, no leaders you want to work for, poor employee relations, and an increasingly irrelevant core offering. It is without a clue about how the digital age has affected brands and branding. An example: it's just released a video lauding its culture. What would any prospective employee do today to verify that video's message? Come here to Glassdoor, only to realise that the video is a complete fabrication. Will roll over to any client request, without a care for its workers or the quality of the work. Some truly awful people in positions of leadership. Over-reliance on processes. Not enough creativity. Increasingly poor clients. Terrible HR function. Slow and clueless about what makes a good employee. Far too centralised a company, meaning local CEOs can't really 'execute' anything.

Pros

-Fun, smart people -Big name clients and (some) interesting projects -Decent work-life balance (but this is not true for everyone/ every role)

Cons

-Lots of change and many rounds of layoffs in the last year+ -Many big-egoed senior leaders who are difficult to work with and do not care about team's development -Projects can become very rinse and repeat; ultimately most clients have the same fundamental brand problems -Recent austerity measures due to IPG acquisition + internal politics = VERY slow to promote people -Once you reach a certain level, your growth maxes out unless you are buddies with the CEO and able to get into a global leadership position -Mandated 3 days/week in-office for ALL employees regardless of role, situation, or location
