Pros

Role seemed well-defined and aligned with my skills. Initial conversations with the team and recruiters were positive and professional. Company mission and products are interesting.

Cons

Went through several rounds of interviews, including meeting with lead recruiters to discuss job benefits, only to receive no final decision or communication. Revised and update my resume and cover letter to match a new direction for the role, and submitted additional work samples and certifications, had an additional interview as well. Despite being told there was interest, follow-up emails requesting a status update went unanswered. Process spanned months without a clear timeline, creating unnecessary uncertainty.

Pros

Good benefits (50% up to 5% 401k match, paid lunches, fully paid medical plan). Work-life balance is decent; it's rare to be asked to work more than a 45-hour week. It's a good place to break into fintech, particularly in client services.

Cons

A largely uncollaborative and sometimes toxic corporate culture outside of client services. Unless your name carries weight with management, your colleagues, even at lower levels, can be unresponsive or downright hostile, making it difficult to accomplish anything. Upward mobility and career development opportunities are limited, which reflects the company’s focus on automation and a lean operating model.
