Pros

I've worked for Intact for over a decade. Is it heading in the right direction, becoming more flexible with its employees and allowing for a greater work-life balance. The level of collaboration depends on the team; however, in general, people are happy to work together to achieve desired goals. It is also exciting to be one of the leading insurance companies in Canada and being part of their (or our) success story.

Cons

The salary range is wide and you can fall on the bottom of the scale for no apparent reason, other than being loyal to the company and not shopping yourself around. If you bring it up as a concern, you get a canned response about the "total package" but that is BS. Whether you are on the low end of the scale of the high end of the scale, you still get benefits, and yet the scale still exists for a reason. It is almost akin to gas-lighting.
