Pros

Good place to develop your sales skills

Cons

Aggressive micromanagement, no real outlined processes, minimal support, asked to do 15 jobs at once, childish behavior taking place in the office, pointless 8am daily standups, awful c-suite, gossip-culture in the office, too many sorority/fraternity kids, unrealistic metrics, endless pressure to continue producing more, they encourage you to skim as much money off the top as you can and pay candidates as little as possible, there's always new initiatives being brought down the pipeline every week or so, they can't make up their mind, you are coerced into staying at the company if you express frustration or desire to leave, the list goes on.... Terrible compensation if you aren't earning commission. Base salary for the entry level role at IG is 40k with promises of lofty commission. I have been here for 2 years working my butt off and haven't seen a penny of commission.

Pros

The individual contributors and the endless amounts of budget for campaigns tools and resources. A great place for marketing creatives looking to do just that, create.

Cons

Leadership served themselves, not their team. There's 0 structure with no marketing KPI measurement or revenue attribution to show the ROI. Everyone always seemed so busy but nothing was getting done to show the impact marketing had on the businesses bottom line. Not many wanted to do the work to build the department to any potential, half of marketing doesn't even work under marketing which promotes vast misalignment. Just resources begging to be used and a bleeding advertising budget. It has a ton of potential, but I watched the few who could have changed it all leave over the frustrations of leaders only concerned with their own self preservation.
