Pros

Ive been gone for 5 years but still have very close friends to this day that I met at IG. To be fair, many jobs will possess that same quality though.

Cons

IG was an ideal place for a post grad to end up that wants to maximize the feel of weekends in college. Favoritism plays major part sadly. If youre funny and enjoy alcohol, welcome to the family. Athletes get even more of a boost and leg up lol. I was apart of an office that had a manager who was demoted (after many had left) despite many complaints to upper management. Those people were either let go, demoted, or simply asked to cope and deal with it since it was likely a "me" thing. You are just a number, youre replaceable, and you really wont get out of it what you put into it. There is a lot of luck involved. It does work out for some, but the honest turnover ratio including hirings & firings is extremely alarming. Save yourself the years of stress and look elsewhere.

Pros

The individual contributors and the endless amounts of budget for campaigns tools and resources. A great place for marketing creatives looking to do just that, create.

Cons

Leadership served themselves, not their team. There's 0 structure with no marketing KPI measurement or revenue attribution to show the ROI. Everyone always seemed so busy but nothing was getting done to show the impact marketing had on the businesses bottom line. Not many wanted to do the work to build the department to any potential, half of marketing doesn't even work under marketing which promotes vast misalignment. Just resources begging to be used and a bleeding advertising budget. It has a ton of potential, but I watched the few who could have changed it all leave over the frustrations of leaders only concerned with their own self preservation.
