Pros
The recruiter was very assertive but professional. I needed that at that time. The recruiter was also a great listener, very relatable. A lot of recruiters I encounter come across as other beings like they can't be touched (handshake) or looked at directly in the eyes.
Cons
The recruiter was very assertive but professional. I needed that at that time. The recruiter was also a great listener, very relatable. A lot of recruiters I encounter come across as other beings like they can't be touched (handshake) or looked at directly in the eyes. There was a separate person that I am guessing was an account manager that was supposed to meet me at the interview & on the first day of work. That person was flaky. I'm not going into detail as there are too many. I was met at the interview but not on the first day of work, I was told specifically this person would be there but that person, who had my cell #, never contacted me to say they would not be there. I waited for an hour b/c without that person's assistance the person I was waiting for couldn't be found. It's such a long stupid explanation. Ugh. Anyway, had the account mgr been there this would not have happened. The account mgr never knew the person's correct name. Also, once I was hired the Acct Mgr didn't have any interest in me. I needed support, had questions, needed to update, etc that person was MIA even to the recruiter. Also the payroll system for contractors is ridiculously confusing time-consuming archaic. They they use ADP. ADP itself is a company that is antiquated. Insight Global is a company that is large enough to have their own payroll stuff I have no idea why they choose to be connected to ADP. Perhaps they're under the same corporate umbrella. There is a significant delay before your first paycheck. They give no valid reason. But I know the reason, ADP s u c k s. Here's a tip if a company ever doesn't want to take responsibility for delaying your paycheck either before or at that moment never hesitate to contact your bank and ask them their procedure policy what have you on receiving direct deposits for payroll checks I promise you your bank is going to tell you there should not be a delay as long as everything is valid. Therefore the problem lies on the company that is trying to pay you. Based on my experience this has to do with Insight Global and ADP specifically. Over the last many years there have been a time or two that whether I was a contractor or regular employee if that company had anything to do with ADP at some point in time there was a problem with my paycheck. There was one other time when there was a delay getting paid the first time. This was when I worked for a massively big School District as a full-time teacher (when I was a substitute at that school district and a different School District I did not have a delay in my first paycheck). The difference was that as a regular full-time teacher we got paid once a month and as a substitute we got paid I can't recall if it was once a week or once every two weeks. Back to IG, the job site gave me plenty of notice it was going to end, I in turn gave the same notice to IG and practically beg them to start looking for something for me, nothing happened. This is the only problem I have with the recruiter the recruiter claim to not know when the job ended even though at the very start I was told when the job would end and then I confirmed it more than once. Recruiter claimed that the Acct Mgr didn't confirm anything. This was such a weird stupid point of confusion, yet I had the email specifically giving me the end date, the exact day! Then later I got a call about something very promising. Then out of the blue some weird guy that sounded like a cartoon when he spoke left me a message about a job through Insight Global. I tried to communicate back with that person, without any luck, as this sounded like a different job than the recruiter had told me about. Then I communicated with the recruiter again and said I would not be available at a very specific time on a very specific day. The Acct Mgr contacted me at that exact moment and I know that the recruiter did not give that person the wrong time. She's not that way. I am guessing that Acct Mgr didn't like the recruiter and purposely did that and used it as an excuse that I was not available to talk about that interview. The excuse given to me was that I was not available therefore I had no chance at that job. I may have this reversed that weird cartoon guy may have contacted me after the recruiter anyway it was confusing I blame the account manager Insight Global is just a very strange company. I could go on but I'm only going to give one more point and that is that I had to enter type submit what have you the time that I worked several times. I had to enter it into the job site portal, wait for that to go through to reach my work email take a picture of it then send that to the recruiter at Insight Global. This at times can be stressful because many times on Friday the manager would within 30 seconds to side let's all leave early today and it would not give me time to go through their system wait for it to be forwarded to my email and Etc and Insight Global once their timesheets interred on Friday because they're so little time on Monday to get that done in time. Then I had to enter it to Insight Global portal. So essentially that is 3 times. Either Insight Global has to educate their clients as to how they do time or Insight Global has to Simply accept however the job site interest time I should not have to do that three times. The positive a regarding time entry is that Insight Global at least my recruiter did not wait for approval from the client to approve my time therefore there was never a delay other than the initial paycheck and getting paid each week. On this point the client was the problem because they came back later saying oh my goodness did you get paid because they knew that they had not approved my time on there and which is very strange because you know I'm here working every week why would you not approve it each week and now all of a sudden 3 weeks later you're concerned that I didn't get paid. Bottom line is Insight Global should educate this is probably repetitive their clients as to how payroll goes down. PERIOD.
