Pros

I'd read some of the critical reviews before writing this, and I get it, every workplace has friction. But my experience was different, and I think it comes down to communication. When I told the CEO I was struggling with imposter syndrome, he sent me resources to build my confidence, not just as a coder but as a person. He wanted me to thrive. When I was candid with the CEO about what wasn't working for me, he actually listened. He moved me onto a project that was a much better fit, and I ended up loving the work. He pushes you toward growth, but not without support. And that support continued even after my employment ended, which isn't something you expect or forget. Also, this place was (is) full of talent. Best in the biz.

Cons

Like any small company, there can be rough edges. I can see how experiences vary depending on the situation. As someone who a lot newer to the field than most of my coworkers, I often was steam rolled over by some of the other developers.

Pros

* Worked with the very best in the technical, product and agile space. The company's roster was once an all-star dream team. * Colleagues were eager to collaborate with you on anything, and quickly make themselves available. * Industry knowledge and experience pool was extremely deep—great thinkers.

Cons

* CEO does not know what he's doing. He's the #1-primary-only reason the company struggles. * CEO is the author of Modern Agile yet he does not come close to embodying it. * CEO is incapable of delegating to people around him who are more qualified and experienced. * CEO injects himself into situations where he's unqualified. * CEO is that annoying helicopter manager hovering over you throwing out trash when he's in a bad mood. * CEO is all over the map with the newest/coolest thing he just read on LinkedIn. * The CEO does not know how to care for and nurture the people working for the company. * The CEO does not know how to develop and maintain relationships with its clients. * IL is a sinking ship, mostly due to the CEO's lack of attention and managing good relationships with active clients. Person's in the company with great client relationships would ask the CEO to involve himself and he simply ignored the requests. He would later make excuses and point the finger to the client.
