Cons
I am writing to express my concerns and dissatisfaction regarding my experience during my tenure at indus University
Regrettably, joining this organization has been one of the most challenging decisions of my professional life. The workplace environment has been marred by internal groupism, unproductive gossip, and a lack of professionalism at several levels of leadership. Minor issues are often blown out of proportion, leading to the formation of unnecessary committees or the issuance of show-cause notices without due explanation, consuming significant time and mental energy.
The excessive workload — including 24 hours per day teaching expectations, the correction of over 500 exam papers, and substantial clerical responsibilities — points to a system that undervalues the well-being of its educators. Furthermore, the increasing commercialization of education, wherein students are frequently charged money for various services, raises ethical concerns.
It is also disheartening to note that merit and competence are often overlooked, with talented faculty members facing resistance from the very leadership that should be encouraging academic excellence and innovation.
In light of these ongoing issues, I urge the management to reflect on the prevailing culture and practices and take necessary steps to create a more respectful, efficient, and ethical academic environment.
