Pros
Decent place to work short‑term Good option if you need a temporary or “resume‑filler” role Some great coworkers on the ground level
Cons
While the job itself was manageable, the ownership and upper management experience was extremely disappointing. There is widespread nepotism, a constant revolving door of staff, and very little communication or support from corporate or HR. Decisions often feel reactive rather than thoughtful, and employees are routinely left in the dark. One issue that stood out was how time off and emergencies are handled. Employees are required to use PTO during ice storms or weather‑related closures, even when the property is not safely accessible. This created unnecessary stress and frustration for many people. Additionally, the workplace culture is concerning. During my time there, I personally heard the company’s president use racial slurs, including the N‑word, in the office on more than one occasion. This created an uncomfortable and unprofessional environment and made it difficult to feel respected at work. Overall, Icon Entertainment Group can work if you need a short‑term position or quick employment, but I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a long‑term career or a healthy, professional workplace culture. There is no option for PTO.
