Pros

Home-working was the only benefit this company offered me as a clinician, however this did little to offset the negatives which came with homeworking in this company.

Cons

No cohesive team identity (fractured model). Staff too overworked to attend wellbeing events. No appreciation for professional identity and years of clinical experience. Poor communication/inconsistent guidance/lack of clarity - too many mixed messages from middle management. Unclear processes/protocols. Middle management team could only be described as an impermeable, exclusive group; important information not cascaded to team to learn from (why witheld? How can we learn lessons from practice examples?) Workload/deadlines the WORST I’ve ever seen (and I’ve worked in urgent care before so a seasoned professional). Little understanding of what the job actually entails for frontline staff in terms of navigating complex situations (instead, unashamedly positing that perhaps time management requires attention when there is clearly an issue with the business model). Ethos of care and compassion not reflected in how staff are treated (just a number and role is for generating income for the sevice). Private healthcare ethos questionable - staff directed to omit/misdirect re providing full information/disclosure (“if they don’t ask, don’t mention it” mentality).

Pros

It is remote role so offers flexibility.

Cons

Terrible sickness policy. Supervision, CM, LM and other meetings do not count as contacts and need to be completed along with 5 clinical contacts. Alot of micromanaging, terrible management and large turnaorund time
