Pros

Somewhat average work/life balance. Good culture among employees.

Cons

Increments and appraisals are getting worse and worse each year. But on the contrary, senior leadership and management brags about record profits, increased efficiency and mass recruitments in every single all-hands call. When it comes time for increments, suddenly they have no money. Increments were cut down drastically. Majority of employees (Sri Lanka specifically) received 5% ( ranging from $3 to $30) or less increment on salary. Company introduced a convoluted plan which added 50% of the already established allowance plan into base salary and cut down the allowance. They made this absurd plan to con the employees into thinking that salary is increased massively, saying things like "look, your EPF is now increased because of this, your bonus will increase next year because of this", while in reality, the actual increase of salary is around 5% (if you're lucky). The line managers have the audacity to defend the company and give excuses for them, saying this is a good increment. They quickly move away from feedback regarding increments saying they have done the best they can. This is at a time when IFS Sri Lanka salaries are already below current Sri Lanka industry standards by a massive margin. For this, the company gives the excuse of being a SLASSCOM company. They use this excuse to gain cheap labour from the country. Promotions are a just a pointless title change with no salary increase guaranteed. Even then, your salary will be far less than for an employee multiple tiers below you in other companies in the industry. Company pushes employee surveys every quarter, saying this is important to do, but almost all feedback is neglected. It is a pointless exercise that management constantly chases you to complete before deadlines. Company posts about achievements, partnerships and sponsorships every single day, but they treat their employees as the least important factor.

Pros

Other consultants in the trenches with you. Great customers.

Cons

Absolute terrible management. They care about one thing and one thing only. Sales. This has hurt them in the market because they have a reputation now of not being able to deliver. They have not had a single project finish on time in years. They are more focused on "messaging" and "optics" than actually being able to deliver. In the same time frame that they cut benefits, refused to hire more developers and consultants and raised the billing targets, they have hired no less than 15 VP's, C-levels, and directors. In that same time frame, they rented out the entire Universal studios and spent Millions on unbudgeted dinners and parties for sales and pre-sales. The ROI on this does not exist. This same team turned around and stated we will miss year end revenue targets and there will be no raises or bonuses. Seems well managed huh? You are completely barred from bringing this up as well. Management will threaten you, call you names and bully you into submission or until you leave. Once you decide to leave they bully you even more and bad mouth you to your current customers. IFS has a great product. The benefit to the customers in the market is huge. However, IFS corporate is unable to deliver on this promise anymore. This company from an implementation standpoint is in massive free fall.
