Pros

- Some people are amazing human beings. - Good work-life balance overall.

Cons

- Old management before MXI got bought had its own problems, they were friends and just ridden the wave of growth. Worst part was that although friendly on the daily basis, they would not help you grow. But environment at MXI was great, the office, the people, the aura itself were amazing. - We got bought by IFS because MXI was winning most of the clients when IFS and MXI were going head to head. - IFS bought us and they initially said that they're going to make Ottawa a Centre of Excellence. They also said that they're not going to move our jobs off shore for lower costs. Well, they lied. And since the new CEO came he has almost disintegrated the Ottawa office. - The intellectual property was moved to Sri Lanka and the talent was let go and a lot of others left because of the re-organization (3 re-organizations). The old product its a shadow of itself. The sales are doing great by implementation its a bad show. - All the employees have to have the wallpaper of the CEO on their laptops. Sometimes I feel like I'm in old communist Russia or Romania. On Workplace (or should I say Facebook for workers) some of the higher ups have competitions on who has the best car with interior purple lights. These guys are disconnected from real world. - Whenever there's a fireside chat some of the minions say thanks to whatever the CEO says just so they make themselves visible. Whenever there's someone critiquing the CEO shoots him down. - I remember when COVID started the CEO sent on Work Facebook about how COVID is not a real threat, same as those anti-vaxxers who quote a doctor, he did the same. When the world was burning in the Covid fire in our internal website the up to date situation in different offices was shown as green and people in Sweden were forced to go to the office. - Also during COVID initially there was a hiring freeze but the Supreme Leader kept hiring new VP of ambiguous positions. - We were donating tens of thousands $ per year, sometimes 40k to Ottawa Food Bank. Well, now they're asking employees to raise money for people in Sri Lanka so we can buy coconut husk crashers for them so they can post it in social pages like Linkedin and look good. Why do employees who don't even have a secure job in the Western pay for coconut crashers in the other side of the world just so the CEO who earn 200x out salary can brag on social media.

Pros

As a sales rep at IFS, you have a unique opportunity to disrupt the ERP, EAM, FSM and AI market by providing robust industry specific capabilities across each of these solution areas on a single platform that addresses a lot of the critical pain points customers have today with legacy/traditional enterprise software providers. IFS invests deeply not just in their platform but also in brand and marketing. This creates a lot of exciting opportunities to be relevant to your customers and prospects (i.e. Big Ten sponsorship and F1 Cadillac sponsorship). This is a good time to be a sales rep at IFS.

Cons

My biggest complaint is the recent turnover in leadership in North America. Created a period of uncertainty but has since stabilized for the most part. IFS has grown fast over the last few years. This obviously comes with some growth pains. For example, limited presales resources. IFS also needs to work on newer customer references. IFS has typically relied on the same customer references which are strong but it would be powerful to see new customer references emerging from some of the newer larger customers IFS has acquired over the last few years.
