Pros
- By the virtue of being in the dynamic industry of Telecom, something new happens everyday in Idea, which doesn't let any monotony set in. - If you are someone who doesn't bother much about maintaining an image and like taking initiatives, this company can give you much learning experiences. Your seniors or colleagues won't encourage it, but your self-driven approach will. - Being an ABG company, job security is quite satisfactory. Pink slips are rarely a concern.
Cons
- Although the company boasts of its culture, it isn't that good. You might expect an innovation and learning environment but people often indulge in office politics and gossips (much like daily soaps) which limits your willingness to reach out or mingle. - Due to lack of the fear of job loss, you might find people working just enough to not get noticed for lagging in job. There is also a high percentage of oldies and hence, change is not what this culture likes.
