Pros
Operates like a smaller company, internal communication is more relaxed and expectations aren't incredibly high. Tasks are simple, there are some dead days where there is minimal work to be done. Company does employee appreciation (golf tournament in summer, winter/holiday party, etc) time off is flexible as its just about coverage due to 24/7 operation. i was able to get more than my 2 weeks off for the random wedding or family function. not a terrible place to work, fellow employees are kind and enjoy their work
Cons
Communication between departments is poor. There was a lot of back and forth that was unnecessary because emails or passing of information happens at the last second. If you work overnight or evenings, youre basically figuring out most of your day as you go because there is no organized communication between morning and evening shift (NOC specifically) moving between departments is highly-unlikely. not many good paying opportunities open up and they hire externally almost always. NOC schedules are NOT flexible, you can ask for days off but you are almost unlikely to be able to go on shift rotation due to how manager organizes things, hes unwilling to do a lot of work himself and gets you to figure out who is covering your shift if you need time off. executives dont really mingle with most employees, obvious they have their favorites or only come when they need something.
