Pros
Best thing about the job is the benefits, however, wouldn't be surprised if these change just like everything else is changing. There is zero room for advancement, unless you become friends with superiors. Despite multiple departments being laid off with little notice last year, I believe overall the company is expanding in size and has potential to be great, if only the upper management would do something to stop the turnover and make current employees feel like they are worth something. We used to be like family, but now we all feel easily replaceable, as I suppose we are.
Cons
I am one of the few examiners who has been with the company for more than 2 years. No question a shakeup has occurred but the jury is still out on if that's a good thing or a bad thing. A lot of good talent has been let go specifically in the past 2-3 years. It seems like upper management has the "out with the old, in with the new" mentality. The problem is that the new coming in don't know anything about trucking claims or claims at all..let alone the 10+ different outdated software systems required to document different claims. Micro-managing is at an all-time high. If managers would give us a chance without breathing down our backs to make sure their numbers look good, then maybe everyone wouldn't be so stressed. Stop having so many meetings and maybe we would have time to handle the claims we've taken over from others who are no longer with the company.
