Pros

Good Benefits - Employees are covered by the Company 100% and the rest of the family cost is very fair; Mostly Friendly Coworkers; Fair Pay; Excellent Work-Life Balance - like really excellent balance (best I've ever seen at any Company).

Cons

Little room for career growth. Inconsistent Leadership; Watching as management puts up with bad/toxic employees forces good employees to become less productive, unengaged, and to feel de-valued. Hydrostructures does not have a corporate culture, despite saying they do in writing - they certainly don't practice it. It has a set of values, but not a true corporate culture. Management does not communicate it message, values, or strategic plans well (if at all) to its employees and there is a definite "good old boy" network at play (this includes men and women) - if you are part of the "in crowd" you will have more knowledge sharing and help - otherwise you are seen as an "outsider." There is little structure and zero direction for employees. You are expected to get your work done and if you ask too many questions, you are talked about or seen as "a problem" - only they won't tell you this. There is no coaching, NO employee reviews, no way to know or understand if you need improvement or are doing a good or bad job - this is never communicated to you - EVER - unless you ask OR really mess up so badly that you have to have something put on your employee record (or are just fired, without prior write ups, coaching, or a chance to fill any gaps/training issues/etc.). If issues issues ARE brought up, they are often ignored for too long and then causes the company issues, or employees feel "brushed off." Ideas are rarely implemented - and decisions are VERY slow to be made. You are expected to know what to do, when, and how. If you like "big firm" mentalities, you are scoffed at and told "this isn't the place for you." You are expected to catch on quickly, learn that different people work in different ways, and if those higher up than you decide to do something last minute (like give you a project/task that is due THE SAME DAY, though they knew about it a month prior), you are expected to NOT complain. There is no accountability, especially for those "in the network" - and forget about anyone being held accountable for anything that may border on too many dirty jokes, language, etc.
