Pros

Stable company with backing from Panasonic. People for the most part were quite good to work with. The benefits were ok.

Cons

The business implied that if you wanted to succeed or grow within, to work longer hours than in your contract and be on call. No sense of work-life balance. Micromanaging, intimidation, and unrealistic expectations is seen as a normal thing and nothing changes when you call it out to HR. Did not align with values or best practices in the field of design or marketing. Busy work is seen as good work. Company ethos is money hungry with a blend of greenwashing, Did not value the marketing department or its potential.

Pros

A consistent five‑day work week schedule.

Cons

Hussmann may be a recognizable name, but the internal experience is far from positive. Management is consistently reported as disorganized, unresponsive, and disconnected from the day‑to‑day realities employees face. Support from leadership is minimal, and follow‑through on basic issues is often lacking. Advancement is rare, and many employees feel stuck with no clear path forward regardless of performance or effort. These problems contribute to a workplace culture that feels negative, discouraging, and unnecessarily stressful. Stronger leadership, real opportunities for growth, and a genuine commitment to employee well‑being are badly needed. I would never recommend working at Hussmann.
