Pros
I enjoyed working with my co-workers and the job was very easy to do, did not require much technical skills but then over time that is bad career wise. I like that it did not drain me mentally so I could challene myself in technical ventures outside the company I did on my time.
Cons
Pay is way below what other companies pay and the health care is horrible. Expect the majority of your take home pay to go towards medical, especially if you have kids or some health condition. One year a family member required minor surgery and I pad almost 1/4 of my take home pay towards it as the coverage was so bad. When I left there the company I went to was a major financial and mental step up. The products you will be working on are also not that challenging, expect to get bored technically as this place will not challenge you for more than a few months. You can only flow oil through a valve so many ways and so many times. This may be good right out of college if you are looking for a stepping stone for a year. Also the son and daughter of the owner will often step in and take credit even on stuff they have no clue it what is. But that is what you get in a family run business.
