Pros

- There were smart people on my team, but they all ended up leaving after working there for years.

Cons

- This used to be a well-regarded agency, but their reputation has tanked in the past 10 years. - Senior leadership (CEO, CTO, CMO, etc) has no diversity. You can take a quick look on their website to see that's true. - Senior management (think VP, Account Directors, Account etc.) across all the teams act like they're in high school and rely on petty games to protect their positions. Good luck ever becoming a VP. - The fact that Senior management + leadership is not diverse means the brand ideas/activations are very stale. They tend to not work with influencers from diverse backgrounds, and are overall oblivious on how to deal with lower-level employees who ARE sometimes people from diverse backgrounds. - Speaking of lower-level employees, they will do anything in their power not to give you a raise or promotion, especially if you are great at your job and they see you as competition. - All around catty high school vibes. The office looks like you're walking into a sorority in the south. - Certain teams are known for bullying, gaslighting and harassment. - Senior HR person worked at HUNTER for years on the brand teams. Huge red flag to see they hired someone within the company, and based on previous reviews, it looks like that's working in their favor. (HR will never have your back, they are literally there as a PR person for internal comms/conflicts) - Lots of unpaid labor that is disguised as "extracurriculars." - Hunter Community College is actually all planned through unpaid labor. - Nepotism and favoritism is present throughout all the teams. - Looking at Stagwell's (their parent company) public stocks from a financial investor standpoint, they are not doing great at all. - Per a recent press release, they are pushing more toward AI, so expect more AI-driven slop to come from agencies in general.

Pros

cool office & decent benefits

Cons

if this gives you any idea of what it’s like to work at HUNTER: they rarely approve PTO days. for me I got around 5 of the 10 PTO days given actually approved each year. the rest were declined because the reasons were “fun” (family visiting, traveling, etc). they also worked very hard to try and decline my PTO day for a medical surgery. if you work here, I hope you end up on a good team. one department has two managers that actually target and bully their entry level employees. In my time there, I saw 5 coordinators get fired, after months of bullying them. multiple coworkers told me they were too scared to speak up, and that they went to HR and HR did nothing but dismiss their concerns and actually turn the blame back on them. there is a very heavy culture of “don’t complain bc you are easily replaced”
