Pros

Great salaries, remote if you aren't in India

Cons

Where to even begin. Tech bro founder who is still leading the company has never had an actual job, no business acumen and no backbone. Business plans and strategy change with the wind based on who this head of the company last spoke to. Every idea, from website design to fundamental business strategy, is based on an idea he thinks is cool that a different company has done. New marketing leadership hired in early 2023 is from the dark ages. All his so called experience is from back when netflix first sent out DVDs. Sexist and racist, takes pride in manipulating team members and not paying vendors. Sales team is nice but too inexperienced and junior to be effective. No relationships outside of APAC, which doesn't help when the USA is your target market. And a tech team that hasn't delivered anything on time in the past 2 years. I'd say avoid at all costs but I doubt there will be a company around to avoid much longer. Third round of layoffs in 15 months.

Pros

Due to it's ridiculously fast growth and expansion, there is a ton of opportunity for employees that are excited about and enjoy the rapidly changing environment that comes along with crazy growth. Proactive, curious, growth minded individuals can try their hand at a wide range of projects. Nothing is set in stone, and there is room for improvement everywhere, which means anyone/everyone is able to contribute new ideas, suggestions and processes and leadership on done are receptive to all of it. The funding situation is great, which allows the org to select and implement the latest tech stack as desired, and to take the risks needed to experiment with new programs/projects. The event space is being completely reinvented right now and has no clear front runners with insurmountable advantages. The leadership team is doing their best to learn as they go and become a people first organization, and open to feedback accordingly.

Cons

For the same reasons above...the organization is somewhat chaotic due to the rapid growth. People that want to sit quietly working within a concrete process and aren't comfortable with rapid change and uncertainty...are likely to be dissatisfied. The leadership team is still in the learning phase and trying to build a strong culture where there hasn't been one...the con of that is...it takes time and it's not in place (the pro is you can help influence it). The company is global, and fully remote. Timezones and remote work present big challenges for strengthening team bonds and finding good times to collaborate so flexible schedules and clear communication are a requirement.
