Pros

Not too many cons honestly

Cons

They say they are a family business and they care for their employees. If you are starting they give you a 1-2 week training and you have 90 days to perform and they say they are always there to help you blah blah but it is not true, they don't even ask you about your cxs, why you feel you are not selling and they don't try to give you some tips based on the cxs you are having. Sell a lot in the first two weeks or you are gone.

Pros

- The commission is 5% on everything you sell and there are good bonus incentives if you can achieve them. - There’s a salary that decreases as your probationary period goes by so you have something to fall back on until you go strictly commission. - Most days you’ll just sit on your phone. Pretty chill. - Coworkers and management are pretty helpful if you need help with job. - Training is very educational when it comes to product and customer-driven selling style. Reps for the brands they carry visit often. - You’ll definitely get your steps in. - Short Sunday shift 12:30-6pm. You work every single weekend. - There are short days (7 hour shifts), no leaving the store those days. - Contests on Saturdays and sometimes they feed us. - Coffee 24/7 - All customer service representatives and coworkers are easy to bond with. Strong sales team.

Cons

- The pro of lots of downtime also means you’re not selling much. Usually get 2-3 customers a day with there being so many employees and not much traffic. - No lunch breaks on certain days and you can’t leave the store at all on Saturday. You have to order food on the days you can’t leave the store, or try to bring a lunch with you. - Lots of nepotism goes on in the store with it being family-owned. Very clique-y, and noticeable special treatment to people close to higher-ups. There’s really no way for anyone to be held accountable for how they treat you because of this. - Seems like they want employees to come from money or high status in the area. They do treat you differently when you don't. - In my experience, anytime a coworker or I called in, everyone in the store knows why you were gone that day or what is going on in your personal life. No privacy between associates and management. - Money fluctuates a lot. Could make $2,000+ a month or you can make $600 or less for the month. There’s no hourly rate. Not the best job for anyone that needs money immediately or consistently. It takes months to start making more. - Insurance is high. No vision insurance offered - Noticed sometimes a nitpicking behavior on minorities/young and new employees, including myself along with being told I was “going to be eaten alive” by GM based on my appearance.
