Pros

Pick your own schedule. Self employed. Most customers are pleasant. Can listen to your own music / podcast on the job

Cons

The rating chart should be looked into. Had 1 bad review and 14 good after the negative. Still took ages to go back up to 5*. You really have to defend yourself when getting a low review (taking photos for proof ect) some customers really over work you and housekeep does NOT defend this. Had a customer booked for 3 hours and wanted her fridge re arranged (sorting of old food) and deep cleaned. Explained that I only had 1 hour left and may not finish other jobs. When 3 hours was up I said I was leaving , she laughed and wanted me to now work for free. Housekeep did not defend me in this situation - in certain areas customers are worst (cheaper , want money back) so they often leave low reviews for this. Working for someone’s first clean is always bad as that’s the customer that wants money back or another free clean. Admin fees is ridiculous. Take a huge cut of our money (charge customer £20 per hour) we only get 12.50 - 13ph. Charge customer more for using own product. Why are you taking a fee of that? It’s our products, I was in a really unsafe situation and housekeep told me to stay at the property. Later was emailed when investigated that this employee was told off for doing this

Pros

Flexible work, lots of jobs available, you decide on your hours, and the areas you work. Jobs can fit around your priorities eg childcare needs. Everything you need is through the app which is very easy to use and to navigate eg your jobs, location, client details and job reqirements, wages, your ratings, and what you can't find on the app (you'll find almost everything on the app) you can call and speak to the office. You will always receive a notification of the jobs allocated to you the day before, as a reminder. You can see four weeks in advance the jobs allocated to you, so if the unexpected turns up (eg boiler breaks down) you can always book time off to sort out your priorities/book time off for holiday, etc. Office staff are very supportive and accommodating.

Cons

Not many to be honest. The interview process could be improved but my advice to potential housekeepers would be to just be patience until you get through! If you are on a job and you need to speak to the office immediately (eg the advise you need is not on the app) it can sometimes take a little while to get through to the office because they are busy, but they will always conact you back. The next one is not really a con but you must check your app regularly as jobs changes and 'skips' frequently.
