Pros
- Young and dynamic environment - Dedicated people - Product with massive potential - Good HR Team - Impressive handling of Covid situation which was crucial to keep the company at float. - Good Fun, especially when everyone could meet in Cologne for a Christmas / Summer Party.
Cons
- Loads of positive change went into ensuring experienced people in the upper management, but there is a massive lack of diversity (all white male with two females who went on maternity leave). - There is no budget for team events, zero employee benefits, no commission bonus for exceeding the targets, and lack of recognition (apart from a "thank you"). - Very low staff retention. Most of the experienced people left due to a lack of career opportunities and recognition. - Product has massive potential, but due to "tight budget" and low staff retention, teams who are the most important to the company growth are usually understaffed (tech & supply team). Some of those roles are then replaced with cheaper "working student" or an intern who is there for a short period of time. - Lack of accountability You will very often hear "this is not my job, therefore I am not going to help you", especially from HQ, so you end up "Slacking" or creating Jira tickets that never get actioned. - Not much freedom when it comes to trying new ideas, giving feedback, or changing existing processes. You will always need to spend hours going through data and trying to prove a point, but it will always end up with you being "too negative" and "why are you keep questioning things". - No budget for external training/resources.
