I was hired as part time so they could pay me $9 an hour but I was never given the perks of being a part time employee (guaranteed hours a week) and was not told how to take sick pay or accrued leave. Staff can be rostered on for an "on call" shift regularly and are expected to call the company to ask if they're needed Turnover was so high because staff were treated as replaceable Older staff would call in sick on a Friday to go out leaving the younger school age staff to cover them and management knew but wouldn't do anything
