Pros
I think the title tells enough. If you're one of their buddies or friends, you'll do great here. If you're inexperienced but the right skin color, they'll hire you to be a director paying 6 figures for you to boss around others that are actually doing the work.
Cons
If you are a real worker bringing in real experience, expertise, and knowledge, the micromanagers who were just hired based on their friendships/relationships will gaslight you to the point of mental break. Hopefully, HR realizes this and will get rid of the problems instead of contributing to it. Marketing people who can't spell, but are in charge of marketing materials and waste hundreds of thousands of dollars. Never heard of spell check? Spending money on worthless nonsense and conferences when the workplace is horrible and toxic: why would someone want to spend more time with the people who make their lives hell? HR is too ignorant to realize that sometimes turnover for certain positions isn't because they didn't/couldn't perform, its because they work for a horrible leader that you refuse to terminate because he is a friend.
