Pros

Fully Remote, Retreats and Discretionary PTO

Cons

Management overall, questionable employment practices, lots of terminated positions without reason, moving targets for success, not actual discretionary PTO, punishment for chronic diseases, punishment for caring for children, asking employees to bend the truth about existing tech.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our company. We’d like to address some of the specific concerns you mentioned to clarify our policies and values, as your claims are so counter to what we hear from our team both directly and in our anonymous surveys. First, regarding our paid time off (PTO) and parental leave policies: We are committed to a healthy work-life balance and offer unlimited PTO, which our team members are encouraged to use - the average team member takes between 3-4 weeks of PTO annually. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive parental leave policy (12 weeks, fully paid) to support employees and their families during this important time. We ensure fair treatment for all employees, including those managing chronic illnesses. We certainly do not penalize team members for managing personal health conditions or caring for children, as doing so is not only illegal but also very counter to the way we believe people should be treated. This employee was with Higharc for about a year — not including two separate 3-month leave periods. She left voluntarily one week before returning from her second leave. She was promoted (never demoted) during her short time here and we had hoped for her to be a vital part of our small team. We’re sorry that, for whatever reason, she decided that wasn’t possible. – Higharc People Team

Pros

I know it’s my job to pitch Higharc, but the product was awesome from the outside looking in and seeing it from the inside has only increased my bullishness on Higharc as a whole. This is a 1 of 1 in the space. There’s a ton of opportunity within Higharc to make an impact in your role - I was recognized for doing good work very quickly into my tenure which was great. I’ve been genuinely impressed with how fast you can move here and how bought in everyone is. I’ve experienced a high level of trust and autonomy which aligns with the kind of culture I like to be a part of.

Cons

There can be some ambiguity that comes with a high level of autonomy and start-up structure. You have to be proactive about thinking through and getting what you need.
