Pros
The job is a physical and mental workout. Seemingly decent pay (higher than other bbt shops)
Cons
Though pay is higher than other bbt shops, the amount of workload is easily 2-3x of other bbt chains. This makes the job extremely tiring as there will always be a line of customers that you have to rush to serve. It gets so busy that you do not have time to even take a small sip of water, let alone go to the toilet. Management is so-so and questionable. For example, if your shift starts at 12 and you’ve had lunch beforehand, management still forces you to go for 1h break (aka dinner) at 2+pm. This is the only break you will ever get in your shift and you will have to continue working from 3+pm till the end of your shift (9/10pm). Upon questioning and reasoning that you had lunch beforehand, management insists that you go for break so that other employees can go for their break after you on time (assuming that they did not have lunch yet). This shows that they aren’t very flexible in planning because if other employees really need to go for their break after you, they are unable to send those who need to eat lunch for break first. Some employees are nice and willing to help you out when you’re just starting out but you have to see whether you’re lucky or not as there will always be some who aren’t as nice and expect you to know everything when you just started working. Overall, this is a really fast paced working environment with seemingly decent pay. However, I believe that you will be much better off working at other bbt chains with slightly lesser pay but much much less workload.
