Pros
-Discount on rentals -Ability to clean my vehicle after hours -Chance to goof off in some brand new cars -A few decent people work here -My store was closed on Sunday -Some good experience dealing with people
Cons
-Constant micromanagement and pressure to sell useless extras -Upper management's idea of motivation is to get rid of commission, increase the price of the optional coverage and raise the raise the minimum sales goals -Upper management is ridiculously out of touch with counter sales; all they do is drive around in Tahoes and Cadillacs going to lunch with their buddies -Minimum 45 hours a week, which isn't bad until they make you work 6 days a week and make you come in late a few days -You are REQUIRED to wash cars in a shirt and tie -They cut hours all the time so you almost never have drivers available to pick anyone up. I worked in a store by myself 95% of the time -A lot of awkward situations with customers who cannot pass a credit check or who do not have enough money, you get a lot of sob stories about why you should help them out I honestly hated every second of this job, it is a poor work environment and everyone is in constant fear of being fired. There is NO motivation to do anything other than to simply not be terminated.
