Pros
Non-profit healthcare (non-emergency; PEDS; dental; eyes; wellness; etc.). Some amazing people who care about the patients and doing things right. You will learn a lot.
Cons
Stress is to be expected from the nature of the work.
Management, though... is distant, out of touch, or power-tripping. This makes everything way harder than it needs to be. It's a major reason for high turnover.
Also it's a non-profit. Pay is OK, but health insurance plan (family especially!) is insanely expensive.
Also, Alabama may never expand Medicaid, so budget challenges will most likely continue.
