Underappreciated, underpaid - Reference Assistant Harford County Public Library Employee Review

Lack of transparency, lack of respect for employees. Overworked, underpaid, expected to take on all kinds of responsibilities, little say in developing programming that we know will serve the community and be popular. While I love helping those in need, the library is not the right place for all social services. Unfortunately that is what is happening in many cases. No right to organize (though not for lack of trying) - hope this changes soon.
