I really enjoyed working with all the other paras, teachers and staff. Everyone was friendly and respectful.

The only negative I can think of is the pay. The school system isn't about to pay everyone for the great work they do.

Lot of positivity talk, trying to care for the mental health of kids and staff (not well but trying), fairly small district compared to others in the area so you are known by admin and some district employees will recognize your name. I liked my coworkers a lot and admin was nice.

Small schools/district so there are too few teachers especially at HS level. I taught 4 science preps with no PLC team, no curriculum materials, and only one prep period. If you're used to that, you can make it work but coming from teaching in multiple other states and districts, this was shocking to me. Students are apathetic (as most places these days), and academic standards were very low. The words that came to mind often were "low rigor".
