Pros
Exposure to multiple teams and functions
Opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment
Some supportive peers at the team level
Cons
Lack of structured onboarding and role clarity
Inconsistent communication from leadership
Limited access to tools, groups, and systems required to perform assigned responsibilities
Performance expectations were not clearly communicated or reviewed in advance
When I joined, onboarding was brief and did not include clear documentation of role expectations, workflows, or access to essential platforms and team communication groups. Despite proactively reaching out via formal email and follow-ups to request access and alignment, responses were delayed or absent.
This made it challenging to fully understand deliverables or integrate smoothly into ongoing work. Performance-related discussions occurred without prior structured feedback or review cycles, which made expectations difficult to interpret.
The organisation appears to be going through internal transitions, and clearer processes would significantly help new hires succeed.
