Pros
No pros as the whole team is behaving rude with new joiner, old employees doing the politics and no sense of speaking. the SEO is worst
Cons
Honestly, the experience didn’t match what was promised during the hiring process. I was told I’d be joining Kava Digital, but after onboarding, I found out the actual work was for Haarty Hanks. That wasn’t clearly communicated upfront, which felt a bit misleading. It was confusing trying to understand the structure, and it took a while to figure out who was responsible for what.
The onboarding was bare minimum—just a few login credentials and links. There was no real introduction to the team, no walkthrough of tools or processes, and no one assigned to help if you got stuck. When I reached out to HR, it often felt like I was bothering them rather than getting support.
One of the most frustrating parts was how the teams operated. The SEO team seemed to be involved in everything even areas they clearly didn’t specialize in, like QA, development, and project management. It was tough seeing technical and timeline decisions being made based on assumptions, Google searches, or AI tools like ChatGPT, rather than real experience or coordination with the actual developers and QA team.
There was no dedicated project manager, and everything felt scattered. Communication was poor, and a lot of people were either too hesitant to speak up or would just deflect questions elsewhere. It didn’t feel like anyone wanted to take ownership or be accountable.
The leadership style was also a concern. On one of my very first calls, there were comments about pushing developers harder just to get more work done. That set the tone. Feedback wasn’t really encouraged, and if you offered a different perspective, it often got ignored. Instead of collaboration, it felt like control only certain voices were heard, especially those close to leadership, even if what they were saying didn’t really make sense technically.
Overall, the environment felt mentally draining. If you're someone who values clarity, support, respectful communication, or just a space where people are open to ideas and learning, this might not be the right place.
