Pros
- Product has a lot of potential, and is getting better
- Inclusive and good people all around, including leadership team
- Fully remote is a big plus
- Competitive benefits
- Generally clean and well-built software all around
- Unreal Game Engine is cool to work around
- Very talented and smart engineers all around
- Unique and very interesting tech stack; everyone is working on interesting problem sets no matter the engineering role from what it seems like
Cons
- Communication on business outlook could be better, but leadership seems to be working on this
- Non-technical leadership in leadership roles attempting to push engineering ideas often
- Pay is not competitive, but not bad
- Pushing too much AI in product and workflows, but there is smart push-back from engineers on where we shouldn't be using it, and engineers are listened to much of the time (not common in tech industry)
- It seems like senior leadership team and product roadmapping decisions don't incorporate a lot of military experience, and the products are sold to military units. Should focus on getting people who understand military operational value in decision making roles more
